Head Coach David Boslough
David Boslough enters his third year as the Spartan head golf coach. He is responsible for both the men's and women's programs. The women's program begins their second year of competition with the fall of 2018.
Boslough enters his third season as the full time golf coach after a successful 2017 campaign. Boslough coached two first-team all-CAC performers on the men's team and one first-team and four second-team all-CAC performers on the women's team in the women's inaugural season of competition.
Boslough is no stranger to York College as he was a four-year varsity letter winner for the men's golf team from 2011-2015. He ended his career with a 78.25 stroke average which is fourth on the Spartans' all-time list. He played in 53 career rounds for the Spartans as he registered 10 top five finishes and 17 top ten finishes during his York College career.
Boslough understands how important it was for him to come back to where he enjoyed great success as a member of the Spartan golf squad.
"I am super excited to to continue to grow the program as I tried to do as a player," said Boslough. "It's an honor to be able to come back as the head coach of the program and to start building our women's program. I want to take York College golf to the next level and build both programs to that of regional and national contenders."
Boslough ended his career as a three-time All-Capital Athletic Conference honoree. He also earned the Andrew Geyer Memorial Scholar-Athlete Award in 2014. The award, presented by Wesley College in honor of former Wolverine Andrew Geyer, recognized a CAC golfer annually for "outstanding academic credentials, athletics, citizenship and community service". Boslough also served on the York College Student-Athlete Advisory Council and was the president of the organization during his senior year at York.
Boslough has a plan for his golfers.
"My hopes for the program are that we always continue to improve and get better each day. We currently have a solid group of players on the men's side who will make this team very competitive this season. I am really looking forward to starting the women's program and to take both of these teams to the national level. I want our women's program to be great as soon as possible so I will have to really dive into recruiting immediately to make that first class one that will impact the program from the start."
The Spartan men's program has won a pair of CAC championships, capturing the titles in 2009 and 2013. Boslough will be the program's third coach following Jeff Gamber and Matt Hunter.
Assistant Coach Eric Stauffer
Eric Stauffer etners the second year on Coach David Boslough's golf coaching staff.
Stauffer is no stranger to the Spartan program as he was a four-year member of the York College golf squad. He was a member of the 2013 Capital Athletic Conference men's championship squad.
Stauffer graduated from York in 2014 with a degree in sport management and currently is the assistant at Manada Golf Club in Grantville, PA. He is working towards the PGA to become a professional.
